Shopping Trip

The other day we went to the little grocery store on the other side of town. They sell a good mix of stuff there, but it is nothing like an american store. They depend on small stores here and the people that I have seen usually seem to do their shopping on a daily basis. You see a lot of people in the evening walking to and from the small stores that sell basic supplies. The grocery store we went to has a little larger selection including some toys, shampoo and soap stuff and fresh meat. They even had chicken heads. Next time we go I'll get a picture of the chickens.

That would be such a pain in the butt to have to go shopping everyday for everything needed! Gotta love America!

Well what a Birthday present to be blessed with opportunities to view cultural areas less fortunate than America. I know for me it would change my appreciation of the things I probably complain too much about here. Do they use paper or platic grocery bags? Perhaps your own cloth bag?

Hey there... hope you had a great birthday! Did you do anything to celebrate? Mom and Dad were visiting us this weekend, and we were thinking about you, hoping you are doing well out there.

Hi Honey, Happy Birthday (slightly belated). We had a great weekend with Jen and Keith. Thought a lot about you on your birthday and hoped that your day was a good one even though you are away from the ones you love. You are experiencing quite a lot in these 6 weeks away. Memories that will be with you forever. We love you. Send your birthday gift to the house (should have thought ahead and sent it way ahead so you could have seen and perhaps used them. Oh well you will be home and one of them will be useful all fall and winter. Love, Mom
